How do I use them?

We highly recommend the following clothing while using colour bombs:

  • Protective eye gear
  • Plain black or white t-shirt
  • Old Shoes

Otherwise, colour bombs are ready to throw straight out of the packet! So just open up, and let 'em rip.

Are they safe?

Yes! The coloured powder is unperfumed and made of 98% corn flour, and 2% non toxic colour pigments.

It's safe to breathe a little or get some in your mouth, though it doesn't taste great! People with pre-existing lung conditions should carefully consider their safety before exposure.

Do they hurt?

No! At least, we haven't been hurt physically by having c-bombs hurled at us.

Corn flour is super soft, and the bomb skins are thin and stretchy, so as the bomb hits your body, the powder escapes the bomb rather than compacting enough to hurt. We've had toddlers laughing after they get hit by uncles out for revenge...

Will they stain my clothes?

Most clothing will wash clean in a single cycle without a trace. Porous materials like leather and suede can absorb colour pigments though, so don't wear your Sunday best during a c-bomb flinging match.

If you want to frame your coloured clothing as a keepsake, spray with vinegar and let dry first.

What are they made of?

The powder is made from 98% corn flour, and 2% non toxic colour pigments.

The bomb skins are 100% nylon.

How do I clean up after?

Pick up empty skins and dispose of them in the general waste bin. They are not biodegradable or recyclable.

The powder however, is biodegradable and will wash into grass and ground with some water. Hard surfaces can be cleaned with a hose or pressure washer. Avoid contact with any porous surfaces like pour in place rubber (the stuff used for running tracks & playgrounds) as they can stain.

Can I choose my own colours?

Not yet! We're just starting out but it's definitely in the plan to introduce different coloured packs to match your favourite team, club or school.

How big are they?

Each bomb is around 1/2 a cup of powder, and each pack of 7 is guaranteed to be at least 500g. Every Colour Bomb is lovingly hand made and because they are designed for maximum powder loss, controlling exactly how much powder remains in each one is difficult! They are weighed before being posted to ensure minimum amounts.

Where do you ship to?

Currently just addresses within Australia, but as we figure stuff out we'll open up international shipping soon!
